Man has Bohinj settled 2500 years ago. Over the centuries has formed the cultural landscape. And this is really something special. More than twenty villages that lies at an altitude of 500-900 meters behind the wonderful richness of the past, present cheerfulness and mystery of the future.
Lower and Upper Bohinj Valley, the Pokljuka plateau in the north and Jelovica plateau in the south and the lake basin, all of this is Bohinj. The most famous is Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent freshwater lake in Slovenia. Triglav mountains are hiding the magical seven small lakes.
